Mandelbrodt or Mandel Bread, is a dessert associated with Eastern European Jews. The Yiddish word mandelbrodt literally means almond bread. In my opinion, mandel bread, although similar to biscotti and rusks, tends to have a lighter texture and a sweeter taste.
